Thunderstorms could cause disruption across Worcestershire this afternoon (Monday, June 12).
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning as it is forecasting thunderstorms and torrential downpours.
The warning is in place for 12pm until 9pm today.
According to the Met Office, “flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds”.

Its weather warning also says: “Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. Some communities might become cut off if roads flood.
“Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
“Power cuts might occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost. Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life.”
National Highways West Midlands has also warned road users to be careful when out and about.
Temperatures in the county are expected to remain high, only reaching lows of 17C overnight and potentially hitting 28C again tomorrow afternoon.
