STAFF and residents at Burcot Grange and Lodge, a luxury all-inclusive care home in Bromsgrove, were delighted to welcome their families last month to their first Teddy Bear Picnic in four years.
The event, organised by the home, which is part of the Berkley Care Group, was also open to local schools and nurseries.
The care home was transformed with bunting, balloons, and a decorated gazebo.
Inside, teddies and picnic blankets were arranged to create a cosy story-time corner, where children were invited to listen to stories or read from a selection of books provided.
As the children arrived, they were greeted by the home's very own teddy bear and encouraged to join in the teddy bear hunt around the gardens.
Many of the children participating were grandchildren of the residents at Burcot Grange and Lodge.
Vicky Osborne, general manager of Burcot Grange and Lodge said: “It has been incredible to welcome families and children to our teddy bear picnic for the first time after a four-year hiatus.
“The joy and excitement on the faces of our residents was heartwarming and the picnic is a testament to our commitment to creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere for all our residents.
“It’s events like these that bring a sense of warmth and energy to our home, benefiting both our residents and staff.”
