A WORCESTERSHIRE firm director is accused of fraud of the company of more than £300,000.
David Carr, of Bidford-on-Avon near Alcester, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, (August 22) for the first hearing of his case.
The 32-year-old is accused of three charges of fraud by abuse of position.
The prosecution alleges the frauds took place while Carr was the finance director at ATG IT in Bromsgrove between April 27, 2014, and August 5, 2022.
Carr is accused of dishonestly abusing his position to make a financial gain for himself by using a company credit card to fund personal purchases; making salary overpayments to his bank account and paying funds into his bank account under the pretence of paying invoices.
When the charges were read to Carr by the court clerk he said he was not entering a plea.

Mark Hambling, prosecuting, said in total Carr is accused of fraud worth £344,721.82.
The prosecutor said, due to the amount, the case was not suitable to be heard at magistrates court.
Mark Turnbull, defending, said he could not challenge this as the £300,000 figure was a way off the £5,000 that would have made the case suitable.
After hearing those remarks magistrates declined jurisdiction in the case.
Carr was told to attend Worcester Crown Court on September 19 for the next hearing of the case.
Magistrates gave Carr unconditional bail but warned him he must attend the hearing on that date.
