The festive plans for Bromsgrove’s Christmas light switch-on event have been revealed.
On Saturday, November 18, Friends of St John’s Christmas Market will be kicking off festivities on the High Street with a range of stalls, fun fair rides and music.
Then from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, the highly anticipated switch-on countdown celebration will begin with street theatre and singers on the main stage.
Bromsgrove District Council’s cabinet member for leisure, Steven Colella, said: “Each year this event gets bigger and better and what’s more it's free for everyone to enjoy.”
The festivities will continue until 9.30pm thanks to the Indie Club with food and drink available at BirdBox from noon.
The Christmas market will run from 9am to 6pm, but those eager to start the celebrations early will also be able to catch it from 9am to 4pm on Friday, November 17.
Chairman at Friends of St John’s, Jo Slade, said: “It is great to see the High Street bustling as we host these festivities and I am sure this year will be no exception.”
More details are set to be released soon.
