Residents are invited to join the festive party this Christmas at Hanbury Hall.
From Saturday, November 25 until Sunday, January 7, guests can visit the Hall for a nostalgic trip back in time inspired by the rumours of wild house parties held by the tenants of the 1970s and 1980s.
Visitors should prepare for a blast from the past as they explore the house dressed up for a Christmas of years gone by with a range of colours, lights and tunes galore.
A spokesperson for Hanbury Hall said: “As you wander through the Hall, reminisce over your favourite toys from the era and revisit a surprisingly familiar buffet.
“Catch some of the classics on the telly and wander upstairs to listen to all the Christmas number ones all while enjoying a Babycham or two from our Del Boy Bar where you might even bump into Father Christmas.”
In the courtyard, there will be a glistening 16-foot Christmas tree and a second-hand bookshop packed with award-winning titles, comforting classics and children’s books.
There will also be disco ball decorations in the garden with a chance for residents to visit the Long Gallery to explore the 1970s and 1980s fashion, art and photography exhibition organised by Anne Walter.
If that isn’t enough, residents can follow one of three routes on a winter walk in the parkland and refuel in the Courtyard Kitchen restaurant or dog-friendly Stables Café with hot chocolate, mulled wine or hot turkey bap.
Entry to Hanbury Hall is free for National Trust members with a three-course Christmas lunch available in the Courtyard Kitchen available by pre-booking.
