A local care team has brought festive cheer to the community in Alvechurch thanks to its touching act of kindness.
Belmont @ Home care staff generously donated £250 to St Laurence Church and the Ark as well as bought presents for their Christmas Day Community Lunch.
The Ark sent out open invitations to the residents in the community to join them at their lunch celebrations with the donations and presents used towards making the day extra special for guests.
Managing Director at Belmont @ Home, Adam Hutchison, said: "In roles as carers we encounter many who live by themselves and it's a harsh reality that not everyone has the comfort of family or friends during Christmas.
"That's all the motivation we needed to get behind this valuable community resource."
The presents are a beacon of joy for those who find themselves alone during the holidays and the home care team even volunteered to wrap the gifts before the big day.
Mr Hutchison added: "These gifts are the icing on the Christmas cake. We are elated to play our part in ensuring everyone who joins has a reason to smile on Christmas Day."
