A brand-new restaurant in Bromsgrove promises to offer guests the finest Nepalese dining experience.
Gurkha Imperial Dining is a Nepalese and Indian restaurant that officially opened its doors to customers on December 21.
The business, which is managed by Kamal Dhakal (KD), serves a range of authentic cuisines reflecting the cultural diversity and geography of Nepal and the neighbouring regions of Sikkim and Gorkhaland.
The establishment seats 80 to 90 people and is also fully licensed with the bar offering a range of drinks and cocktails.
It is located on the old site of the Spicy Valley restaurant at 74 Worcester Road which was in the area for more than 20 years before closing for renovation.
Manager Kamal Dhakal said: "Our aim is to bring the best Nepalese and Indian cuisine with a modern twist on a traditional method.
"Our dedicated chef continually refines and develops our recipes to the highest standards set by Gurkha Imperial."
The restaurant's award-winning chef, K Kharel, has more than 20 years of experience working in high-class restaurants all over the world and has developed the establishment's innovative dishes.
This includes Gurkha Imperial's speciality dish Momo, which is a dumpling made of all-purpose flour and filled with either meat or vegetables.
They are inspired by Tibetan dumplings and is a very popular Nepali street food.
The restaurant has also recently started offering takeaway food to help bring the authentic taste of Nepal to homes as well as catering services to the community.
Gurkha Imperial Dining can be found is open Tuesday to Thursday from 4.30pm to 10.30pm, Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 11pm and Sunday from 2pm to 10pm. It is closed on Monday.
