A Marston's pub in Rednal is set to undergo a huge £240,000 makeover bringing the promise of new jobs.
The Oak Tree pub, which recently welcomed a new landlord and is located near Lickey Hills Country Park, is set to close on Monday, February 12 and will reopen on Monday, March 4 with a brand-new look.
As well as creating a larger bar area with new amenities including a dartboard, pool table, weekly pub quizzes and bingo evenings, the downstairs function room is also set to be renovated by getting a new interior.
Speaking about the planned refurbishment, the new landlord Lee Avramovic said: "We are so excited to announce that The Oak Tree will be receiving a refresh. We will be investing £240,000 into breathing new life into our well-loved pub and can't wait to welcome everybody back."
As well as offering a new menu of pub favourites including hot dogs, curry, and salted caramel brownies for dessert, the refurbishment is also set to create new back-of-house job role opportunities for the local area.
