Harborne 143-6 (2pts)
Bromsgrove 146-3 (20pts)
Bromsgrove won by 7 wickets
JAYDEN Levitt produced another superb innings as Bromsgrove earned a timely win to move back into the Birmingham and District League Division One promotion places.
The in-form batsmen hit 64 not out to guide the Boars home and bring them back to winning ways.
Bromsgrove captain Mark Evesnon won the toss and elected to bowl and the returning Nick Husbands (pictured) gave them the perfect start ripping out Stephen Moreton (5) and Darren Franklin (1) in his first two overs.
Dan Wood stood firm and found good support in Ian Butler (23) but after he fell to the spin of Lyndon Jones the rest of Harborne's batsmen just couldn't stick around.
Spinners Jones and Dilawar Khan Orakzai again bowled well and also took two wickets each as Harborne faltered to 143 for 6 off 30 overs. Wood remained definant on 73 not out, showing good shot selection and maturity.
Bromsgrove were aware of the pace threat offered by Kiwi test bowler Butler, but met fire with fire.
Omar Ali (30) smashed his team to a great start with the only early casualty being Valeed Butt (7), but Jones (5) soon followed leaving the Boars at 50-3.
However, Levitt matched Woods' effort and received resiliant support from Duncan Roke (24 not out).
Roke smashed a huge six to hand the Boars victory with five overs remaining.
