Children eligible for free school meals in Bromsgrove will be able to access free activities this Easter.
The plan is part of the national Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, and the Bromsgrove Sport & Leisure Centre, managed by Everyone Active, will host these activities which are accompanied by free lunches.
The activities include Clip n Climb, swimming, arts and crafts, and multisport, designed to cater to different age groups and interests.
Every session includes a free lunch featuring a nutritious and balanced meal.
Wayne Desmond, contract manager at Everyone Active, said: "We are delighted to be part of the national HAF programme and provide children with the opportunity to enjoy an active and engaging Easter break, regardless of their financial circumstances.
"With activities designed to promote both physical wellbeing and social interaction, we hope to see children from the Bromsgrove area join us to have fun, stay active and develop new skills."
Cllr Steven Colella, cabinet member for Leisure, Culture and Climate Change at Bromsgrove District Council, said: “These sessions present a good opportunity for children and young people in the area to get involved with activities they might not have done before, meet new people and make friends, and get a nutritious meal included which can’t be underestimated in its importance.
"We welcome the sessions that Everyone Active are bringing the HAF programme this Easter half-term.”
Sessions will start from 9am until 1pm from March 25 until March 28.
Parents and guardians of eligible children are encouraged to register at https://www.haf-it.co.uk/.
