THE long Easter weekend means the major supermarkets will be changing their opening hours - so shoppers should be aware of when their local shop will be open.

There are two bank holidays to note down in your diary.

Good Friday falls on March 29 this year, followed by Easter Sunday on March 31 and then Easter Monday on April 1. Shop opening times may be different on these days.

In fact, UK trading laws specify that large shops have to close on Easter Sunday.

Many supermarkets have warned customers of store closures over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

Government rules mean stores across England and Wales larger than 280 square metres are forced to close on Easter Sunday.

Most shops will remain open on Good Friday and Easter Monday, both of which are bank holidays, but some with changed opening hours.

Aldi, Birmingham Road, Bromsgrove

The store will open on Friday (March 29) from 8am till 10pm and on Saturday (March 30) from 8am till 10pm. 
It will close on Easter Sunday and will open on Monday (April 1) from 8am till 8pm. 

Aldi, Sherwood Road, Bromsgrove

The store will open on Friday (March 29) from 8am till 10pm and on Saturday (March 30) from 8am till 10pm. 
It will close on Easter Sunday and will open on Monday (April 1) from 8am till 8pm. 

Lidl, Birmingham Road, Bromsgrove

The store will open on Friday (March 29) from 8am till 10pm and on Saturday (March 30) from 8am till 10pm.
It will be closed on Easter Sunday and will open on Monday (April 1) from 8am till 8pm. 

Tesco, New Road, Rubery Superstore

The store will open on Friday (March 29) from 7am till 10pm and on Saturday March 30 from 7am till 11pm.
It will be closed on Sunday (March 31) and will be open on Monday (April 1) from 8am till 6pm.  

Asda, Market Street, Bromsgrove 

The store will be open on Friday (March 29) from 7am till 9pm and on Saturday (March 30) from 7am till 9pm. 
It will be closed on Sunday (March 31) and will be open on Monday (April 1) from from 7am till 9pm. 

Morrisons, Buntsford Park Road, Bromsgrove 

The store will be open on Friday (March 29) from 7am till 10pm and on Saturday (March 30) from 6am till 11pm. 
It will be closed on Sunday (March 31) and will be open on Monday (April 1) from from 7am till 8pm.
