HUNDREDS of cannabis plants have been seized during a drugs raid on the Rushock Trading Estate near Hartlebury.

Three rooms at a premises on the estate were found to have 500 hundred cannabis plants being grown in them during the raid on Saturday (April 20).

The plants were seized by Wyre Forest police and will be destroyed.

No-one was at the premises at the time of the warrant and no arrests were made, but police said enquiries are ongoing.

Chief Inspector David King, of Wyre Forest Police, said: “Acting on community concerns and intelligence we executed a drugs warrant at an address on the Rushock Trading Estate between Kidderminster and Droitwich on Saturday.

“Though no arrests were made, enquiries are ongoing into this cannabis grow.

“Grows such as this one are linked to serious and organised crime and we will always act on intelligence to shut down criminal operations like this which have a harmful impact on the communities we protect and serve.”
