The event, set for Saturday, June 1 at 2pm, rewards its winners with financial bursaries of £1,000 for the Senior section and £750 for the Junior section to further develop their musical skills.

Tickets, currently on sale for £15 per person with free entry for U18s and students, can be purchased from the Bromsgrove Young Musicians’ Platform website (https://bromsgroveplatform.com/tickets.aspx).

The competition welcomes all musicians at school or residents in the United Kingdom.

Its sister competition, the Bromsgrove International Musicians Competition (BIMC), was initially established for young gifted musicians in 1980 by the late Dr Mary White.

The International competition accepts instrumentalists and pianists of all nationalities aged 18 to 25, or up to 28 for singers.
