Specsavers in Bromsgrove has raised more than £450 in a series of fundraising events.
They have donated the money to the charity Epilepsy Society, a charity dedicated to aiding those afflicted with epilepsy.
The sum donated was £484, garnered from several charity events which the eyewear store hosted over the past three months.
Book sales, a bake sale, and a unique Challenge 100 which involves running, walking, cycling, and go-karting to reach a combined 100 miles, were among the fundraising initiatives.
Store director at Specsavers Bromsgrove, Mark Gibson, lauded the public's enthusiastic willingness to contribute as he said: "We’ve had a brilliant response from the local community and our customers."
He also wanted to express a 'big thank you' to everyone who participated and donated, thereby allowing the store to reach its set goal.
Mr Gibson said: "Epilepsy is a cause that is very close to our hearts, so we’re thrilled to have supported a charity that is making a real difference to the people affected by the condition."
Epilepsy Society is the UK’s premier provider of epilepsy services.
The organisation focuses on funding research, offering informational resources, and providing strategic advice to those affected by epilepsy within the UK.
