An author will be bringing her latest talk about churches and their architecture to Droitwich.

Best-selling author Elena Curti is set to share her wisdom on the history and architectural brilliance of 100 Catholic Churches at an event hosted by the Droitwich & District Catenians on Saturday, June 15.

Ms Curti's talks are inspired by her two books, Fifty Catholic Churches to See Before You Die, and its sequel, Another Fifty Churches.

Both books explore the hidden gems and masterpieces among England and Wales' Catholic churches, delving into their architecture, history, and the stories of the individuals who raised them.

The Droitwich event, titled '100 Catholic Churches to See Before You Die!', includes a 50-minute virtual tour of churches featured in her books, including Droitwich's own The Sacred Heart & St Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church - where the talk takes place.

The author will also host a Q&A session and sign discounted books.

Ms Curti said: "Each church has a unique story to tell, and I hope this virtual tour will inspire people to appreciate the profound cultural heritage preserved within these sacred spaces."

Italian-born Ms Curti was educated in England and worked as a newspaper and radio reporter, a television producer and served as deputy editor for international Catholic weekly, The Tablet.

The talk begins at 3pm, with tickets available for £10 on Eventbrite.
