A road in Bromsgrove remains closed today due to ongoing utility repairs and maintenance work. 

Alcester Road is closed between The Oakalls and Heydon Road with no through route to Finstall or Aston Fields from Regents Park Road. 

The road was closed yesterday (Monday, May 20) and there is a valid work permit in place until Thursday (May 23).

According to the Worcestershire County Council website, the closure is due to ongoing work by Severn Trent. 

A spokesperson for Traffic Bromsgrove said: "A reminder that Alcester Road is closed between The Oakalls and Heydon Road due to works by Severn Trent.

"There is no through route to Finstall or Aston Fields from Regents Park Road likewise there is no access to The Oakalls from the Finstall direction.

"Access to Maple Court is only possible from The Oakalls direction."

Drivers have been warned about delays and are being urged to find an alternative route.
