A familiar figure has been appointed as the chair of Bromsgrove District Council for this year.
Cllr Sam Ammar has received the chain for the second consecutive year, after being selected in a meeting last week (Wednesday, May 15)
At the Annual Council meeting Cllr Bakul Kumar also retained his vice-chair role for another year.

Cllr Ammar said: "This is an absolute honour and I thank my fellow councillors for putting their faith in me once again.
"I am looking forward to the year ahead, to continue to get out into our District and meet the people, businesses and organisations who help to make Bromsgrove such an exciting place to live."
The chair will continue her support for her chosen cause, the Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest branch of Age UK.
She added: “Supporting our local Age UK branch for another year is also a privilege and I look forward to planning exciting fundraising events over the next 12 months.”
