People in Worcestershire are being encouraged to host their own danceathon for a county hospice.
This comes as part of the 2024 fundraising drive for Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre.
Educational institutions, organisations, and workplaces are being urged to step up for this unique opportunity.
Gabrielle Haines, fundraiser at Primrose Hospice explained: "Our Danceathon is the perfect opportunity to hold your very own fun, interactive event all while helping to raise vital funds for your local Hospice. Whether your group prefer to salsa, hip-hop, jive or simply want to groove the hours away, our fundraising team will guide and support you to host a Danceathon extravaganza. Your danceathon event could help many more patients with life-limiting illnesses and families facing bereavement. Thank you for your support.”
Besides fun, the event has significant implications, helping the hospice to raise the £1.95 million needed annually to offer free care and support.
The event does not have specific requirements and can be held at any venue, on any date as per conveniences.
It can be a fancy dress party, birthday celebration, or even a platform to showcase participants' dance skills.
Contact the fundraising team at Primrose to find out more and to show your support for this worthy cause.
