The following cases from Redditch and Bromsgrove were heard at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court last week. 

JACK CLARK, of Paddock Lane, Redditch, indicated a guilty plea to possessing a controlled class A drug. 

Clark was accused of possessing a quantity of cocaine on March 22 in Bromsgrove. 

He also indicated a guilty plea to possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place. 

On March 22 in Breakback Road, Bromsgrove, Clark was said to have been in possession of a lock knife. 

He pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to police or court bail on May 7 at Worcester Magistrates' Court having been released on bail from Kidderminster Police Station. 

Clark was handed a forfeiture and destruction order on the cocaine and fined £233. 

He also had his lock knife taken away from him and was ordered to pay court costs. 

DANIEL SZOPINSKI, of Lodge Road, Redditch, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on January 30. 

He was handed a suspended sentence order. The total custodial period was 14 weeks which is suspended for 12 months. 

Szopinski must complete unpaid work totalling 100 hours within 12 months and pay £240 compensation as well as court costs. 

JOSHUA SHARRATT, of Crossley Walk, Bromsgrove, indicated a guilty plea to common assault of an emergency worker on February 14 in Redditch. 

Sharratt was accused of assaulting a police officer in what was described as an "unprovoked attack of a serious nature" by the court. 

He was given a suspended sentence order and told to complete rehabilitation activity. 

BRIAN OGRADY, of Houndsfield Close, Hollywood, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified on May 17 in Bromsgrove. 

O'Grady was accused of driving a Ford Fiesta on Drakes Cross Parade whilst disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence.  

He also indicated a guilty plea to possessing a controlled class B drug, cannabis or cannabis resin, in Hollywood on May 18. 

O'Grady pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle when his alcohol level was above the legal limit in Bromsgrove on May 17. He had 105 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. 

He also pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle without third-party insurance on May 17. 

O'Grady was handed a community order for alcohol treatment by a qualified member of Cranstoun for six months. He must also comply with rehabilitation activities. 

He was also given a forfeiture and destruction notice on the cannabis and fined £40 along with having to pay court costs.
