Care home residents are looking forward to some freshly grown strawberries after going on a planting spree ready for summer.
Green-fingered residents of Cofton Park Manor in Birmingham have transformed their garden space into their own edible garden.
Residents are now yearning for warmer days, particularly resident Barbara Wild, 75.

She said: "Although our edible garden includes a range of herbs, it’s the strawberries that I cannot wait to taste.
"I have always enjoyed the fresh fruit with sweet cream, it’s certainly a sign that summer is here."
The residents were inspired to plant their edible garden to step towards self-sustainability, and to reduce food waste.
They picked the tomatoes, herbs, and other plants from nearby garden centres to cultivate.
George Shakespeare, 91, said: "It’s hard work, but once everything is growing nicely, we can simply go into the garden and pick fresh herbs for dinner.
"This is not only more environmentally friendly because it avoids transport costs and plastic, but it's also much healthier."
Wendy Sibley, community relations lead at the home, said: "Gardening is such a healthy activity, it gets us physically moving and is something we can do together or alone, depending on your mood.
"We cannot wait for our herbs, vegetables and of course the strawberries to grow, we are praying for some sunshine."
