A family fun day event that was set to take place in Cofton Park this weekend has been cancelled.
The organisers, brain injury charity Headway, said the cancellation of the summer fundraiser in Rednal was due to "circumstances beyond our control".
The event was set to take place on Sunday (June 30) from 12pm until 4pm where there would be a lively afternoon filled with fayre activities including a tombola, raffle and name-the-teddy.
There was also set to be a BBQ and an Indian street food stall.
The proceeds collected were set to go towards services provided by the charity which is dedicated to supporting brain injury survivors and their families.
This includes rehabilitation sessions at the charity's several centres, including Leighton House in Rednal, as well as one-to-one support in the community to foster independent living.
The charity also supports the wider family through its Family and Carer services providing information and group activities.
The charity has confirmed that all stall holders have been told about the cancellation via email and their social media pages have been updated accordingly.
The charity hopes to be back again as usual next year.
Communications and fundraising manager, Julie Wedgbury, said: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have taken the decision to cancel our Family Fun Day planned for this Sunday (June 30) in Cofton Park.
"We hope to be back next year as usual.
"Note all stall holders have been advised of the cancellation via email and our social media pages have been updated accordingly."
