An "outstanding" and "selfless" care provider has been nominated for a prestigious award for always going above and beyond for its patients.
Handle with Care Ltd is a domiciliary care provider covering Worcestershire and the West Midlands area including Bromsgrove and Redditch.
Supporting adults of all ages since 2008, Handle with Care prides itself on supporting individuals and their families to maintain independence and stay in the comfort of their own homes.
The team is now up for a top award in the Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards 2024 in the 'Domiciliary Care Worker or Team' category.
The nomination said: "The care provided is outstanding. The team who are delivering care are amazing and the most selfless people always going above and beyond. The team behind the scenes play a key role too.
"365 days a year, they provide outstanding care ensuring each individual is supported to live their very best life. Encouraging independence, dignity and quality of life whilst respecting people's wishes to remain at home."
Reacting to the nomination, the quality assurance and compliance director at Handle with Care, Chelly Truran, said the team are passionate about delivering the highest quality of care and she is proud of all the staff who deserve this recognition.
Ms Truran added: "Thank you to you all for your compassion and dedication to our service. It's having such a positive impact on our community."
The Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards 2024 are organised by Newsquest, publishers of the Worcester News, Malvern Gazette, Evesham Journal, Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Advertisers and The Shuttle.
There are 12 categories in total - NHS Team of the Year, Palliative Care Award, NHS Hero, Care Home Worker or Team of the Year, Health Care Employer Award, Good Nurse Award, Child & Adolescent Health Care Award, Dementia Carer Award, Mental Health Award, GP Practice of the Year, Domiciliary Care Worker Award and Oral Health Care Professional of the Year.
The awards will culminate in a black-tie dinner at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford on Thursday, September 19 where the winners will be announced.
