A couple from Bromsgrove are set to host an incredible evening of entertainment to mark what would have been their son's 10th birthday.

Holly and Jon Hawkesford set up Jasper's Rainbow following the birth and unexpected death of their baby boy Jasper in 2014.

Since then, the couple, along with the support of their friends and family including their other children Tessy and Myles, have been fundraising for three charities that helped them greatly when Jasper was born and in the following months and years.

This includes the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society (SANDS), the Edward's Trust and SWFT charity, particularly the maternity bereavement fund at Warwick Hospital, with Jasper's Rainbow managing to raise more than £36,000 for them over the years.

In the lead-up to what would have been Jasper's 10th birthday, the couple have challenged themselves to host 10 different fundraising events with the final one being a concert at The Greig Hall in Alcester.

Mum Holly Hawkesford said: "Jasper's Rainbow has always been about fundraising through the coming together of people and pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zone.

"Jasper's Rainbow Concert is certainly both of those things. We are a musical family and our children are both involved in musical theatre, so it seemed like the perfect challenge."

Jasper's Rainbow Concert will take place on Saturday, July 20 and promises an evening full of songs from musical theatre and a line-up of incredible singers including some professional performers accompanied by a live band.

There will also be a pizza van from Laff's Pizza serving wood-fired pizza and an old-fashioned ice cream van supplied by Annie's Antics on the evening of the concert.

The family hopes it will be just as successful as previous fundraisers events including running from London to Cardiff in a relay, completing a team ultra triathlon in Wales, cycling from Warwick to Salcombe, writing and self-publishing a children's story, running cake sales and even going to Westminster Abbey to meet the Princess of Wales.

This landed them a spot on prime-time television to help raise awareness of the organisation.

Ms Hawkesford added: "We are fortunate enough to have so many kind and incredibly gifted people giving us their time and talent to make the concert a success.

"It is set to be a magical, feel-good evening for all the family. Whether you are a long-standing musical theatre lover or even a little unsure, please join us to celebrate Jasper's 10th birthday in style."
