A former special constable and councillor who posed as a woman on social media to obtain sexually explicit images has been found to have committed gross misconduct.
Kyle Daisley, a former Worcestershire County Council chairman, used a social media account to contact and obtain sexually explicit photographs of people.
The 26-year-old claimed he was "having a joke" but the misconduct hearing panel at Warwickshire Police Headquarters in Leak Wootton last week found those involved had been deceived.
Daisley, who was based out of Leamington Police Station but also served as a Bromsgrove councillor, was also found culpable of gross misconduct with the hearing panel concluding that he would have been dismissed if he was still serving.
The panel also found he had breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of honesty and integrity, and discreditable conduct. The panel was chaired by Chief Constable Debbie Tedds with another misconduct hearing also heard last week for another former Warwickshire Police officer.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Flavell from Warwickshire Police Professional Standards Department said: "If the public are to have confidence in their police force, officers need to always maintain the highest standards of integrity; whether on duty or off duty.
"In both of these cases, the actions of the former officers fell well below these standards and we welcome the decisions of the panels."
The outcome of the misconduct hearing is subject to appeal.
A Worcestershire County Council spokesperson said: "We can confirm Warwickshire Police notified us of the hearing and the allegation being considered.
"This concerned misconduct during their employment with Warwickshire Police.
"Whilst the individual is not an employee of the county council, we can confirm that safeguarding procedures have been, and continue to be followed.
"The Council would like to reassure residents that keeping people safe is at the heart of what we do and we have followed our standard processes."
