A preschool in Bromsgrove is "totally overwhelmed" after winning a top award for excellence.
Catshill Rising Stars Preschool, located on Golden Cross Lane, is one of only 30 nurseries nationwide to receive a certificate of excellence in the 'Early Years Team of the Year' category.
The awards are part of the Pearson National Teaching Awards which is an annual celebration of education that recognises the incredible work of teaching communities across the UK.
There are 16 award categories that cover the primary, secondary and further education sectors and are open to schools and colleges in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Owner of Catshill Rising Stars Preschool, Lisa Hadley, said: "We are totally overwhelmed after receiving such an amazing award. The team at Catshill Rising Stars are just amazing.
"The passion and dedication shown daily to ensure that our 'rising stars' and their families are supported through their early years is just outstanding.
"I cannot thank them all enough. I actually cannot find the words. We would also love to know who and why they nominated us so we can thank them personally."
Catshill Rising Stars has been operating from Catshill Methodist Church hall for almost 10 years.
The last two years have seen the business experience exceptional growth with the nursery rated 'Good' in its latest inspection.
The team help support many children and their families in the area offering an inclusive service and flexible funded hours.
Preschool practitioners Amy Wilson and Cori Breillat added: "We are over the moon to have received this massive award. We were really surprised and grateful for the recognition of our wonderful team.
"Working in such a brilliant team, which is like a family, makes our role easy and enjoyable which reflects on the children and makes the families happy.
"We can't thank the parents enough for the kind words and gestures they share with us daily."
