A ROAD was closed as firefighters rushed to a building fire in Lickey on Sunday evening (July 14).
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Bromsgrove Fire Station were called out just before 7.30pm to a fire in Rose Hill.
The fire brigade said the blaze was located on the ground floor of a building, around 30m by 15m. They confirmed there were no casualties.
A spokesperson said: "The fire was extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using one hosereel jet.
"Access was gained to the building using small tools. The area was checked over using a thermal imaging camera".
West Mercia Police attended the incident and closed Rose Hill and said the nearby golf course was closed. Lickey Hills Golf Course is now open as usual.
