Bromsgrove MP Bradley Thomas has vowed to be farmers' "champion in Parliament".
Attending a National Farmers' Union event in Parliament last week, the newly elected MP promised to support food producers both in his constituency and across the country.
Rural areas comprise 79 per cent of the constituency, and Mr Bradley has pledged to make backing farmers one of his top priorities.

He said: "With all of us relying on farmers three times a day, farming is the backbone of our rural communities – and one of the first events I’ve attended in Parliament has been to show my support for our food producers here in Bromsgrove and across the country.
"Our constituency is 79 per cent rural, with farmers playing a key role in our local economy and of course our country’s food security.
"It was therefore disappointing there wasn’t a single mention of farming in Labour’s first King’s Speech.
"I hope this will be addressed, and I assure our farmers that I will be their champion in Parliament.”
