A man has died after a car collided with a lamp post and overturned in Bromsgrove this morning.
West Mercia Police said the collision, which involved a white BMW 318d, happened on the A448 Kidderminster Road near the junction with Whitford Gardens.
The incident happened at around 11.15am today (Wednesday, July 31).
Officers said the car left the carriageway before colliding with a lamp post and being overturned.
The driver, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic but nothing could be done to save the man.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "On arrival, crews found a car that had overturned after crashing into a lamppost.
"There was one patient, a man, who was found to be in a critical condition.
"Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
West Mercia Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the fatal crash to help with their enquiries into the incident.
Those with information are being urged to contact police.
