A woman has been left with "serious injuries" following a collision on the main road between Bromsgrove and Kidderminster.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called at around 12.30pm today (Friday, August 9) following reports of a collision near Winterfold Lane.
Two ambulances were sent to the scene where they found two cars had been involved in a collision.
A woman was treated by medics for serious injuries before being taken to the Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at around 12.30pm to reports of an RTC on Winterfold Lane in Chaddesley Corbett and sent two ambulances to the scene.
"On arrival, crews discovered two cars had been involved in a collision. A woman was treated by medics for serious injuries and conveyed to Alexandra Hospital for further treatment."
West Mercia Police also attended the scene and closed the A448 Kidderminster Road near Mustow Green in both directions whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
Following the collision, a spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Police are at the scene of a collision involving two cars on the A448 at the junction with Curslow Lane near Mustow Green reported at around 12.30pm.
"A woman has sustained injuries. The road is currently blocked, and is likely to remain blocked for around an hour."
