Childhood sweethearts from Bromsgrove have shared the secret to a happy marriage as they prepare to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
Anne and Ken Oates first met at school when they were just 12 years old in the early 1950s.
They later reconnected after meeting in a coffee shop in 1962 where their love story started.
The happy couple got married at St John's Church on August 15 1964.
Mr and Ms Oates described their wedding day as "amazing" and gave some top tips to newlyweds for a long and happy marriage.
Mr Oates, aged 83, said: "Marriage is give and take and having patience.
"Always be honest in your marriage, never go to bed on an argument and always let each other know you care."
The couple are set to celebrate their special anniversary with their friends and family including their three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren who they adore.
