A TOWN in Worcestershire was named the hottest place in the UK during the bank holiday.
Pershore was the only location to climb above 20c on Saturday (August 24) when the temperature reached 20.4c.
The warm weather came at the perfect time for the town's annual plum festival.
Temperatures have been down around the country as much of the UK dealt with wet and windy weather from Storm Lilian over the weekend.
At the other end of the scale, Braemar, Aberdeenshire, was named the coldest place in the country as temperatures dropped as low as 5c.
