POLICE have launched an investigation after a shooting in Bartley Green on Wednesday (August 28).
Officers were called to an address in Clapgate Lane at around 5.40pm where a man was being treated by paramedics for a gunshot wound.
The 48-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Another man, believed to have been injured during the same incident attended hospital with a fractured skull where he remains in a stable condition.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "CCTV enquiries are underway to establish where the incident took place and we’re appealing for anyone who was in the area at around 5pm to get in touch.

“We were called at 5.37pm to an incident on Clapgate Lane in Bartley Green, Birmingham. One ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended the scene.
"Upon arrival we found a man who was assessed and had sustained serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to hospital for further treatment.”
