A BRAND new charity shop is preparing to open on Bromsgrove High Street.
Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre will be opening their new charity shop located at 76 High Street on Thursday (September 12) at 10am.
They are encouraging customers, friends and family to join them in officially opening their newest retail venture.
Deborah Wall, manager of the new Primrose Hospice shop said: “We are hoping to see lots of new and familiar faces at the opening of our new Bromsgrove shop.
"Our charity shops provide over 27% of the £1.95 million we need to raise every year to continue supporting our patients and families, so it’s really important that we continue developing our retail shops.
We are so grateful to all our volunteers and everyone who donates and shops in our six charity shops; we’d love to see you all at our grand opening.”
Primrose Hospice’s new charity shop will be selling a huge variety of pre-loved furniture, homeware, clothes, bric-a-brac and books, which will not only reduce the amount of products that go to landfill, but also raise vital funds for your local hospice.
It is estimated that around £140 million worth of clothing goes to landfill in the UK every year. The Primrose Hospice shops are aiming to reduce this statistic, so if you are having a clear-out, consider donating your pre-loved items to their new shop.
If you’d like to donate pre-loved items or join their volunteer team call 01527 598644.
Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre offers care and advice to patients living with a life-limiting illness. They also support families who have experienced bereavement or who have a family member living with a life-limiting illness in the North East Worcestershire area.
