A care home team in Cofton Hackett are celebrating after receiving a perfect score from residents and their families. 

Cofton Park Manor Care Home on Lickey Road was given the highest possible score of 10 on the leading independent review site www.carehome.co.uk. 

The site only allows genuine reviews from those closely connected to the care home. 

Home manager Kerry Hill said: "We value this incredible feedback from those who matter. It means so much to us.

"Only a tiny percentage of the very best care homes in the country achieve this accolade and to win a consistent set of great reviews is a huge boost to everyone who works at Cofton Park Manor where we are dedicated to caring for our wonderful residents and serving our local community."

Customer relations manager Wendy Sibley added: "The team work so hard to maintain the very best care for our residents and this score will only spur us on to go above and beyond to make this a friendly home, where everyone is welcome."

Family members of residents at the care home also praised the team for their "individualised care" and called it a "special place". 

One family member said: "From the moment we stepped into Cofton Manor we knew it was a special place. Each and every member of staff genuinely cares and is happy in their work and this is so evident in the general vibe and when you see how happy residents are.

"Care is individualised to each resident enabling them to live their best life. We cannot thank Cofton Manor enough for the love and care shown not only to residents but to family and friends."

A resident added: "I think all the carers are marvellous, I have made lots of new friends to chat to. I am happy here. My bedroom is beautiful, the best of the lot."
