Some of the best pubs in Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas have been recognised in the Good Beer Guide 2025. 

The guide, which is published annually by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), is the UK's best-selling beer and pub guide and an essential resource for ensuring the future of pubs across the UK.

The publication lists 4,500 of the best pubs across the UK and is the definitive beer drinker’s guide for those seeking the best pints in the nation and is on sale now.

A total of 7 pubs across Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas have been featured in the guide. 

Here are some of the top pubs in the area for 2025: 

The Cross Inn, Finstall

Described as a "popular and welcoming community pub", The Cross Inn features an open-plan lounge area as well as a large outside space. 

Seven handpumps dispense real ales and fresh cobs are always available. 

Golden Cross Hotel

The town centre Wetherspoon pub is a former hotel and coach house. 

The guide praises the daily food deals as well as the regular core and guest beers that often come from local breweries. 

Holly Bush Inn, Belbroughton

The guide describes the pub as "traditional" and "characterful" with a good-value food and drink menu. 

The pub, which was built in the 1700s, has been run by the same family for over 30 years and is the winner of local CAMRA awards. 

Hop Pole Inn

With live music at weekends and an uplifting atmosphere, the Good Beer Guide has praised the Hop Pole Inn's beer garden, bar area and game room facilities. 

The pub is dog-friendly and there are plenty of good quality beers to enjoy. 

Ladybird Inn

Located near the railway station, the Ladybird Inn offers the ideal spot to enjoy a quick pint. 

The guide has also praised the large function room, cobs and snacks as well as the pub decor. 

Little Ale House

The micropub has a "cosy atmosphere" and outdoor seating as well as being dog-friendly. 

The guide said the pub alternates between breweries including Woodcote, Hartlebury and Three Tuns. 

The Weighbridge, Alvechurch

A canal side pub which has won multiple CAMRA awards, The Weighbridge has been described as a "thriving community asset" by the Good Beer Guide. 

The pub is known for its regular beer Bridge 60 which is a pale ale from Woodcote brewery as well as offering real ciders.
