Residents are being invited to have their say on the next phase of plans for 423 new homes in Bromsgrove.

Developer Taylor Wimpey is in the early stages of preparing proposals for approximately 423 homes on land off Perryfields Road.

The homes will include a mix of properties to suit a range of buyers with 30 per cent of the homes set to be classed as affordable housing in line with Section 106 and local policy requirements.

The developers said this will mean around 127 homes will be classed as affordable.

Outline planning permission for a development of up to 1,300 homes as well as a variety of new community facilities, including an extra care facility, a school and a local centre, was approved in August 2021.

This latest application is for the third phase of the development.

Taylor Wimpey will be holding a public consultation to seek the views of local residents and stakeholders from Wednesday, October 2 to Wednesday, October 16.

Helen Chard, land director for Taylor Wimpey North Midlands, said: "Gathering the views of the local community is a vital stage in the development process and we are keen to hear what residents living near the site think of our current proposals.

"This is the third phase of our Perryfields development and whilst we know that residents will be aware of the plans to date, we now want to seek feedback on our latest proposals."

Details of the proposals will be available to view at https://www.taylorwimpey.co.uk/new-homes/bromsgrove/perryfields-phase-three

People will also get a chance to speak to the project team in person during a public exhibition in the Fairfield Suite at the Holiday Inn Bromsgrove on Kidderminster Road.

The exhibition will run from 4.30pm until 8pm on Wednesday, October 2.
