A community group for over-50s is celebrating after hosting a variety of successful social events in Bromsgrove.
Oddfellows, which aims to tackle loneliness and give people the opportunity to make new friends, hosted special social events last month to highlight its work and encourage more people to get involved.
The events included quizzes, board games, goodie bags and more as part of the Friendship Month celebrations with the organisers thanking the community for their support.
Social organiser at Oddfellows Wayne Homer said: "The buzz you get from being in friendly company is indisputable so thank you to everyone who came along to make this year's events so enjoyable and uplifting.
"It was a pleasure to get to know so many new faces at our social events and we look forward to seeing more new members at future events."
Oddfellows host a variety of social events and activities throughout the year in and around the South Birmingham and Bromsgrove area.
For those that missed the most recent taster event, but would still like to give the group a try, there is a Games, Cuppa and Catch Up event on Monday, October 14.
The event is taking place at The Green Man in Harborne between 11am and 12.30pm.
It will be following by a Cuppa and Catch Up social event on Monday, October 21 at Bromsgrove Golf Centre from 11am until 12.30pm.
Mr Homer added: "We know that people can often feel anxious about the one-on-one nature of making new friends, but giving one of our group events a go definitely breaks the ice.
"The events are hosted and you can join in as much or as little as you want by leading the conversation or by sitting back and listening.
"The important bit is that we're getting together."
