BROMSGROVE District Council is providing match-funded grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 to help established businesses to make a step change, scale-up and grow.
“Bromsgrove Business Boost”, funded by the Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, is open for applications.
Applications are invited from businesses that trade from business premises within the Bromsgrove District.
If you do not trade from business premises, please contact us to your business’ check eligibility.
Businesses must have been trading for more than 3 years and have less than 5 employees, with at least one full-time employee of which this is their sole employment.
Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, Cllr. Sue Baxter, said: “This grant could be a kickstart for local businesses looking to level up and grow as an organisation.”
The grant can’t be used for recurring costs (including salaries, stock, rent, utility charges, repairs & renewals), or for the repayment of existing loans or debts.
In addition, the grant cannot be used for the reimbursement of goods or services purchased prior to approval of the grant.
Applicants must provide three quotations for each item or service to be purchased.
Grants are limited to one per business on a first-come, first served basis. Successful applicants will be offered 50% of the costs of an eligible project up to a maximum of £5,000.
At least 50% of costs must be funded from the business’ own resources. The minimum grant amount is £1,000.
Grants will be paid upon receipt of evidence of eligible expenditure being made on or after the grant approval date. Businesses are required to pay for the goods / services before claiming the grant.
Eligible businesses can apply for grant funding by completing the Bromsgrove Business Boost application form which is requested by emailing ukspf@bromsgrovandredditch.gov.uk.
The final deadline for submitting applications is 6 December 2024. With completed forms being emailed back to ukspf@bromsgrovandredditch.gov.uk.
All projects must be delivered with 3 months including financial completion or by 31 March 2025, whichever is sooner.
With the introduction of this grant a business of any size, any age and in any sector can apply for a grant. If you don’t meet the eligibility criteria for this grant, please get in touch as there will be other grants available.
