BROMSGROVE MP Bradley Thomas has been elected to the Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee.

Made up of a cross-party group of MPs, the committee scrutinises the policy, spending and administration of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and its public bodies, including Ofgem and the Committee on Climate Change.

Mr Thomas said: “I'm delighted to have been elected to the Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee

“Having worked in the energy sector before becoming your MP, I'm aware of the challenges and the opportunities that we face.

“I’ll be scrutinising the government's work to ensure we deliver energy security without deindustrialising our country or by undermining our competitive economic edge.”
