THE nights are drawing in, the clocks have gone back and there is a light chill in the air - it is safe to say Winter has almost arrived.

It's the season to wear a nice scarf and some walking boots and hear the leaves crunch under your feet as you walk to watch the changing seasons.

Some may argue there is no better place to do this than at one of the county's National Trust sites.

The cosy season has arrived at our National Trust venues, and to mark its arrival, we have compiled a list of all the Worcestershire cafes for you to visit this Winter.

1. Little Al's Cafe

(Image: National Trust) This award-winning cafe at The Firs, in Lower Broadheath, the birthplace of Edward Elgar, not only serves good coffee but also implements "the best ethical and environmental practices in their business".

The cafe is designed to be contemporary and is located in the modern visitor centre within the grounds of the historic home.

2. The Granary Kiosk - Brockhampton Estate

National Trust's Brockhampton Estate.

Mistletoe thrives in the older fruit trees at the Brockhampton Estate, which is a traditionally farmed estate with a medieval manor house.

And visitors thrive with the taste of its warm pastries, which are also vegan-friendly, at the little cosy cafe called The Granary Kiosk.

3. Cafe - Croome Court

This cafe is tucked in the visitor's centre at Croome and is nestled with a restored RAF wartime building.

Inside, you can relive what life was like during the war while also having a hot beverage and soup to wash down your seasonal walk.

The centre is also home to a second-hand bookshop where all the proceeds go towards Croome - near Kempsey.

4. The Courtyard Kitchen

It serves a range of hot meals, cakes, and hot and cold drinks, and the restaurant has 'charming views into the Parterre garden'.

The restaurant can be reached from the Stableyard through a reinstated historic archway.
