AROUND 100 bunnies were found after appearing to have been dumped in the woods in Chaddesley Corbett yesterday.

The bunnies were described by users on social media to be in a “bad way”, with a self-funded animal rescue organisation in Dudley taking in as many of the bunnies as they could.

Lucky Bunny and Friends Rescue said on social media that 56 of the bunnies had been caught and taken to them.

In their Facebook post, they said: “We have taken in 16 males and 40 females who we suspect are pregnant and they are all in a bad way.

“All of these rabbits at a minimum will need neutering/spaying and vaccinating.

“We will do a more in-depth post later for now we are focusing on the bunnies and trying to work out a plan.”

The rescue group have set up a wish list for members of the public to help provide essential items for the bunnies as they focus on nurturing them back to full health.

They are also appealing for donations to help with the “foreseeable vet bill” they now face.

More information about how to assist them in helping the bunnies can be found on their website.
