Bromsgrove Sporting FC have announced a partnership with a homelessness charity supporting young vulnerable people in the town.

The Rouslers have teamed up with St Basils, which helps people across the Midlands.

The charity runs accommodation projects in Bromsgrove, providing safe spaces for young people at risk of homelessness.

The club will work with the charity to raise awareness and funds, and launch a series of initiatives to engage fans and the wider community.

Club chairman Rod Brown said: "Bromsgrove Sporting is excited to be working with St Basils.

"As a club deeply rooted in the community, we want to help young people who, through no fault of their own, find themselves without basic facilities and care.

"We look forward to supporting St Basils’ projects and encourage our fans to join us in helping young people rebuild their lives."

UK Electrical, the main sponsor of the Rouslers, has long supported the charity

Debbie Fellows, operations manager at UK Electrical, said: "We often get asked, ‘Why St Basils?’

"The answer is simple—no one deserves to be homeless.

"Especially young people who are just starting their adult lives.

"St Basils provides not only a place to stay, but also a nurturing environment that helps build self-esteem and independence."

Barrie Hodge, head of fundraising and communications at St Basils, said: "We’re so grateful to have Bromsgrove Sporting FC as a charity partner.

"We’ve seen a 22 per cent year-on-year increase in young people needing our help, driven by the cost-of-living crisis, rising rental prices, and the shortage of affordable housing.

"This partnership will make a real difference, helping us support more young people to overcome the challenges they face and build hopeful futures."
