Dear Editor
Bromsgrove should be proud of itself! What a magnificent turnout and strict observance of both Silences this weekend, at the Remembrance Service at the memorials in Crown Close on Sunday and Armistice Day at the Oddfellows Memorial on Monday.
Whilst the British Legion were running their Stall during Bromsgrove Markets, one of our Veterans came to the stall and acquired a few items with his Donation from his wallet, then went away to do more shopping. About half an hour later, he returned, distraught, saying he had lost his wallet with a considerable amount of money and his Cards and Bus Pass. An immediate extensive search and enquiries were unsuccessful and he went home with a heavy heart. On arrival at home, he found his wallet still full of everything on his front door mat! Some honest person had obviously, found it, noted his address and returned it to his house completely intact!
We don't know who this was. May we therefore offer, through your pages, the most heartfelt thanks to this person, who has clearly reassured us all that there are still some marvellous people in Bromsgrove.
Thankyou
Kevin OYEZ!
