THIEVES hit the jackpot when they targeted gaming and vending machines.
Detectives believe a dark-coloured Land Rover is being used to target north Worcestershire pubs. The latest incident was on Friday, September 5, between 1.30 and 4am, at the Nailers Arms, Doctors Hill, Bournheath. A fruit machine was moved, but it is believed offenders were disturbed. However they did steal a large flat screen TV.
This is being linked to incidents at the Sun Hotel, Bromsgrove Road, Romsley, on August 29 and The Packhorse, Alcester Road, Hollywood, on August 13. In both cases gaming machines were stolen.
Police are looking into whether these cases are related to previous incidents at the Nailers Arms, on July 22, when a cigarette machine was stolen, and at The Crown in Stourbridge Road, Catshill, on July 20 when a fruit machine and a quiz machine were stolen. If you can help contact Bromsgrove CID on 08457 444888.
