BROMSGROVE’S residents have got until tomorrow (Thu, Sep 18) to have their say on the future of the town (writes Pat Smith).
Anyone who wants to put forward their views on how they would like to see the town shape can still do so on line at www.bromsgrove.gov.uk.
Bromsgrove District Council launched its consultation exercise in July asking people who live, work and visit the town to comment on a range of issues and options drawn up to help build a better Bromsgrove.
Richard Savory, town centre regeneration programme manager, said: “We have had hundreds and hundreds of questionnaires returned to us at our various offices, through our residents’ Together Bromsgrove magazine, from Street Theatre and on-line, and we would like to thank everyone who took the time and trouble to share their thoughts with us.
“We will consider every response but would like to urge more young people to take part. We have received replies from people of all ages, but would like more from youngsters because at the end of the day, the town is being developed for them and their future.”
Mr Savory will also be writing to local schools asking them for their help too.
Bromsgrove District Council is working with partners including Worcestershire County Council, Fire, Police and the Primary Care Trust to breathe new life into the town.
People can still have their say and read a summary of the issues and options on-line at the web address already mentioned.
The questionnaires and summaries are also available at the Customer Service and Dolphin Centres in School Drive, Bromsgrove, and at libraries throughout the District.
