A FEMALE cashier was threatened with a gun and a knife during an armed robbery at a filling station.

Bromsgrove police are investigating the raid of cash, scratch cards and cigarettes from Truemans Heath filling station, in Truemans Heath Lane, Wythall, just after 9pm on Wednesday, September 17.

The cashier, a woman in her 30s, was ordered to sit on the floor as the male offenders, their faces covered with hooded tops and scarves, stole the items and escaped on foot in the direction of Shirley. The victim was shaken, but otherwise unhurt.

The first offender was carrying a black or dark handgun, with orange strips down both sides. He is Asian, 5ft 3in tall and wore dark tracksuit bottoms, dark trainers and gloves.

The second robber is between 5ft 6in and 5ft 9in tall, slim with black tracksuit bottoms and trainers. He carried a hunting knife and a piece of metal.

The third man is white, slim, around 5ft 5in tall and wore dark tracksuit bottoms. He was also said to be carrying a knife.

Detective Constable Brian Mortelmans, from Bromsgrove CID, appealed for the driver or passengers of a taxi, which is believed to have pulled up outside the filling station at the time of the incident, to contact them.
