BROMSGROVE residents vulnerable to flooding are being urged to take advantage of new advice available on Worcestershire County Council’s website.
The Environment Agency recently launched three practical guides offering advice on what to do before, during and after a flood. Residents affected by the flash floods in Catshill, Rubery and Tardebigge are being advised to make use of the guides which feature information on recovering after a flood. The guides also offer useful information on how to stay safe and vital contact details, should the worst happen.
Councillor Simon Geraghty, the county’s cabinet member for planning, economy and performance, said: “These guides contain a wealth of information aimed at helping residents better prepare for and deal with potential flooding. By making the guides available on our website we are helping to ensure the information they contain is shared as widely as possible.”
To access the guides visit the county council’s website, or the Environment Agency’s at www.environment-agency.gov.uk. Alternatively, a copy can be ordered by phone on floodline, 0845 988 1188.
