POLICE are appealing for information about the theft of two cycles from Bromsgrove. A pink 'sparkly' bike, worth £150, and a grey dual suspension model, worth £120, were stolen from the rear garden of a house in King George Close, Sidemoor, between 2 and 4pm on Monday, September 1. Also stolen was a small hand-held axe worth £25 and golf clubs worth £20. PC Stan Baker, Bromsgrove police’s crime reduction manager, reminded owners of the need to keep cycles in well-secured garages or sheds. Further tips about protecting cycles from thieves are available on an information leaflet entitled Steer Clear of Cycle Theft, which is downloadable free of charge from www.homeoffice.gov.uk and is also available from local police stations. Witnesses, or anyone with information about the thefts, are asked to contact the public service desk at Kidderminster police station on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
