It happened at Finstall Road, Finstall, overnight between 6pm yesterday (Thursday, September 25), and 6.45am today (Friday, September 26), but is likely to have happened at about 2.30am when the occupants were disturbed by a noise and saw a man getting into a vehicle and driving off.
An unknown sharp instument was used to cause deep scratches to the bonnet of a Volvo, boot lid of a Toyota Avensis, rear passenger door of a Citroen Berlingo, and boot lids of two Seat Ibizas.
Damage of £500 was caused to each vehicle.
