POLICE are appealing for information about an assault on a 14-year-old girl in Bromsgrove.
The attack happened on Wednesday, August 27, at approximately 8.20pm at the Hanover Street end of the Market Street car park.
The victim was assaulted during an altercation between two men.
The victim and her friends, who had just left an under 18s event at the Love to Love nightclub in Worcester Road, became involved in an argument with another group. A gold coloured Citroen pulled up and a male got out of the passenger side and hit one of the victim’s friends in the face. He then attempted to hit her friend again, but missed and hit the girl, causing her lip to swell.
PC Amanda Dobb, of Bromsgrove police, said: “There was a large group of people around the Hanover Street entrance to the car park that evening due to a function at the nightclub and police are requesting information from witnesses who saw the assault. “Police are especially keen to trace the occupants of the gold Citroen.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Dobb on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
